The very popular and growing Foxburg Food, Art and Wine Festival celebrates its 13th year on Sunday, October 9 from 11 AM to 6 PM in the heart of this charming town along the scenic Allegheny River in Clarion County. In fact, you can enjoy an entire weekend exploring this river valley region beginning on Saturday, October 8 with the annual Fall Driving Tour. Cap off your Saturday with the fabulous Clam Bake at Foxburg’s Allegheny Grille – reservations required for the Clam Bake, so call 724-659-5701.
Sunday’s Foxburg Festival will once again feature a wide variety of artisans and crafters offering their products for sale. While you’re exploring these, be sure to visit The Red Brick Gallery, Foxburg’s artist cooperative, where you can walk away with that perfect piece or get an early start on Christmas shopping.
Fall Festivals say “Oktoberfest!!.” With that in mind, try the Oktoberfest pizza at Foxburg Pizza or sample a draft of Oktoberfest beer and German cuisine at the Grille. Of course, there will be plenty of food vendors lining Main Street to satisfy your hunger and treat that sweet tooth with handcrafted Belgian chocolates or gourmet coffee at Divani Chocolatier and Barista. Still thirsty? Drop into the very popular Foxburg Wine Cellars offering over 30 varieties of wine along with accessories and gift items.
Music will be provided by the excellent Max Schang Trio from Noon to 2 PM, the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School Jazz Band at 2 PM and Tom Sweetapple from 4 to 6 PM.
Family fun? Children’s face-painting will be provided by Emlenton’s Chicken Coop Studio 306 and the 4H is offering kids a Make & Take. Every child loves a trip through the Red Caboose train car.
