Save the date, and if you’re interested in bike trails or trail towns, plan on attending!
What is a “trail town?” How can our trails create jobs and business growth in Emlenton? How does Emlenton fit into the Erie-to-Pittsburgh Trail or other major trail destinations? This informational session will explore the subject of trails as both a recreational activity and an economic development tool.
Presenters will include, Frank Hajduk, an avid cyclist who will share his recent experience in riding through trails and towns along the Great Allegheny Passage in an organized bicycle sojourn; Will Prince, Trail Town Program Manager of the Progress Fund will be a featured speaker “Introducing the Trail Town Program” and Debbie Frawley, Greenways & Open space Coordinator for Venango, Clarion and Crawford Counties.
Kim Harris, Oil Region Alliance Project Manager and Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Secretary will be on hand for question and answer.
The program is free and open to the public as well as local business owners and managers, community leaders, and anyone who is interested in hearing how trails can impact Emlenton, or just curious as to what a sojourn is. Join us to learn more!
