Foxburg Goes Green This Weekend!

On this cold, blistery evening in North Western Pennsylvania, I look outside and see nothing but white. That has been the scenic color for weeks now, which makes me look forward to this weekend, where we will see lots of green! The beautiful color green, the color of spring, freshly grown grass, leaves on the trees and newly budding flowers. While we may not see all of nature’s green this weekend, there will surely be lots of green in celebration of the patron Saint of Ireland, St. Patrick.

According to some accounts, blue was the first color associated with St. Patrick’s Day, but that started to change in the 17th Century. Green is one of the colors in Ireland’s tri-colored flag, the color of the shamrock and also the color of Ireland’s lush landscape nicknaming it “The Emerald Isle”.

So don  your green attire this weekend and join us in Foxburg for a St. Patty’s Day Celebration you don’t want to miss! Starting off with Carnival of Souls in Lincoln Hall on Friday night starting at 7pm.  Tickets just $10 for adults and $5 for students. Wait! The music and festivities don’t stop there, stick around for some genuine Irish cuisine at The Allegheny Grille, on Saturday and  kick up your spirits with some green beer or try a Conway’s Irish Ale by Great Lakes, while listening to the musical talents of Just the Two of Us from 7pm to 10pm in the lounge.

With a weekend of partying planned, you may want to skip the drive and book a room with us at The Foxburg Inn Hotel so that you are in the center of all the fun and do not miss a second of the Irish Celebration. Call now, while there are still rooms available! For more information or to reserve your room, call us at (724)659-3116.  To keep the party going after hours, pick up some wine at Foxburg Wine Cellars and a Rueben Pizza at Foxburg Pizza and Country Store
